Virtualisation and software licensing

Steve Johnston
Director, Strategic Procurement

BYOD, cloud computing, and desktop and application virtualisation create complications and doubt with regards to software licensing.  Traditional license agreements don’t quite fit and vendors see it is an opportunity to change the model in their favour.  In this presentation we look at current and future licensing agreements and how they may be adapted to meet these changing requirements.

Telco networks and the mobile data deluge

Jamie Sunderland
Director, Product Solutions
AARNet

The explosive growth of Mobile Devices and increased mobile media consumption will put huge strains on the traditional Telco networks. How will they cope and what will the wireless networks look like in 5 to 10 years? How will this affect education and research networks?

Enabling the mobile enterprise

Andrew Boulus
Mobility Executive
SAP Australia

With the dramatic success of “i everything” and the rise of the “App Store” and “the consumer” the world is now truly mobile.  Large enterprises like universities now face challenges of extending their core services and creating a secure mobile enterprise.  What are the analysts saying and how do you start to extend your corporate services to your key customers and stakeholders?
