The AHECS Inaugural Cybersecurity Summit

The 2020 Inaugural AHECS Cybersecurity Summit was held online event across three days Monday 02 – Wednesday 04 November 2020. The theme was “Bridging the Gap”.

Across the three days we had 208 unique attendees including 112 delegates, 28 AHECS Partner members, 5 speakers (that were non-partner/sponsor) and 60 sponsors interacted, presented, engaged and networked. The Summit attracted registrations from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Canada and the US.

The sessions included one plenary session, 2 keynote presentations, 17 speaker presentations and 9 sponsor lightning talks.

A total of 50 delegates responded to the online survey. All survey respondents rated the Summit as valuable, very valuable or extremely valuable. Over 95% of survey respondents ticked ‘very interested’ or ‘extremely interested’ in attending in future Summits. This is a reflection of the vision, hard work and commitment of the members of the Organising Committee combined with the contribution of abstract reviewers, session chairs, invited speakers and session presentations. Below are a few examples of the survey respondents additional comments:
