Past participants of the CAUDIT Leadership Institute (CLI) from the University of Sydney have met for the first time in what is hoped to be a series of regular meetings for CLI alumni. Since the Institute began, the University of Sydney has supported 44 staff members in the program with nearly half of this gathering together in early November. The group received updates from Cassandra Spencer, Manager Engagement & Administration, CAUDIT and Sarah Chaloner, Head of ICT, UTS:Insearch and faculty member of the CLI.
In collaboration with Mike Day, CIO of the University of Sydney, the group discussed what the short and long-term goals for the group are and agreed the importance of identifying ways they can progress and share their leadership capabilities that allow all IT staff to connect on a deeper community level with their organisation. The group will further develop the initiative when they meet again in the new year.
