CAUDIT would like to welcome Jeff Murray who has joined University of Tasmania as Chief Information Officer.
Having spent 5 years at Glasgow Caledonian University as Chief Information Officer, Jeff relocated to the University of Tasmania for a similar role. Prior to this he was the Director of the Knowledge and IT Service Centre at Edith Cowan University. In this and the Glasgow role Jeff had the responsibility for Library and Information Technology advancements. His previous experience was in the health, police and private sectors, primarily in IT and analytical positions. As a Senior Research Officer for the Police Service, he worked on applications to pattern and track crime statistics and was involved in applications implementation for the Traffic Authority. As Business and Strategic Analyst for St John of God Health Care he developed executive information systems and provided strategic financial advice to the Financial Controller and National Board and worked on two hospital merger projects.
Jeff’s experience in the United Kingdom focussed on the implementation of an integrated student system, cloud hosted virtual learning systems,establishment of systems at a new London campus and an enterprise portal.
CAUDIT wishes to acknowledge the input to CAUDIT activities including THETA 13 by Adrian Dillon in his capacity as Acting CIO until Jeff's appointment.
