Jill Benn has significant experience in the leadership and delivery of library services in the higher education environment. She is currently the University Librarian at the University of Western Australia (UWA). Jill has led several key initiatives at UWA including significant library refurbishments, major service changes and improved outcomes for researchers and for students. Jill has reshaped library services and implemented significant changes aimed at improving the student experience. She is focused on partnership, collaboration and client engagement as a key strategy to develop and improve libraries.
In addition to serving as a Faculty Member for the Council of Australian University IT Directors (CAUDIT) Leadership Program, Jill is currently the Chair of the Council of Australian University Librarians (CAUL), serves on the International Association of University Librarians (IATUL) Board, and is a member Research Data Alliance Council.
