Linda Jorn served in Higher Education Academic Technology management and leadership roles for thirty-one years. She retired in 2020 as the Associate Vice Provost of Learning Technologies and Division of Information Technology (DoIT) Director of Academic Technology (AT) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. Over the years she served on many cross-unit leadership teams that set strategic teaching and learning priorities, spear-headed educational innovation initiatives, and prioritized learning technology projects. She focused on working with her talented leadership teams to design efficient, yet flexible organizational structures and teams that could quickly respond to transformational changes and produce results.
Linda’s career focuses on a value-driven leadership style that highlights curiosity, collaboration, gratitude, and transparency. Linda’s love of learning, scholarship, and mentoring kept her active in the EDUCASE community where she presented, published, and served on many committees as well as serving as faculty and co-director of the Learning Technology Leadership Institute Program and faculty for the Senior Directors Seminar. In 2019 Linda received the EDUCAUSE Leadership Award. Currently Linda serves as a subject management expert for a new EDUCAUSE leadership program.
