At the heart of our mission to enable digital capabilities to transform education and research is the active engagement of our Member Representatives. Their dedication to collaboration, sharing knowledge and best practices, drives the sector forward.
The CAUDIT Meritorious Service Awards honour former or outgoing Member Representatives who have made significant and lasting contributions to CAUDIT and the broader sector.
At this week’s 2025 Autumn Members’ Meeting dinner in Perth, we proudly recognised three such individuals. Meritorious Service Awards were presented to Vito Forte, Angie Hendrick, and Bev Wright in acknowledgment of their exceptional and sustained service.
Below, we highlight some of their key contributions and achievements.
Vito Forte
Vito joined Edith Cowan University in 2017 and served as the CAUDIT Member Representative until December 2024. From the outset, he was an active contributor to the sector. In 2018, he participated in the CAUDIT Top Ten and was appointed Chair of the Strategic Procurement Committee, a role he held until his departure from the sector in 2024. Vito became a member of the Microsoft Working Party in 2019, the Finance Working Group in 2021, and the EDUCAUSE Top Ten in 2024. He joined the CAUDIT Executive as an Ordinary Member (now titled Australian Member) in 2020 and was elected Vice President in 2022.
Angie Hendrick
Angie commenced at the University of New England in 2018 and has been a consistent and engaged presence at CAUDIT Members Meetings ever since. She was elected to the CAUDIT Executive as an Ordinary Member in 2022 and re-elected in 2023, continuing in this role through to her retirement in 2025. Angie has served as CAUDIT Public Officer since 2022. Following her retirement, the CAUDIT Executive invited Angie to continue her involvement as an Independent Director, a position she currently holds.
Bev Wright
Bev began her tenure at the University of Adelaide in 2017 and served as the CAUDIT Member Representative until April 2024. Throughout this time, she was a regular and active participant in CAUDIT Members Meetings. Bev has been a Board Member of SABRENet in South Australia since March 2017. She also served on the CAUDIT Executive Committee from 2017 to July 2018 and was a member of the Finance Working Group in 2021.
