CAUDIT is pleased to announce the release of Version 3.1.1 of the Higher Education Reference Models (HERM). This update delivers several iterative improvements and introduces the Technology Reference Model, further enhancing the utility of HERM for institutions worldwide.
HERM continues to gain traction internationally, now used by more than 1,000 institutions and translated into eight languages. Some recent highlights showcasing its global influence include alignment with the European Higher Education Interoperability Framework, the UK’s Universities Transformation and Efficiency Taskforce, and Jisc’s framework for digital transformation.
Looking ahead, Version 3.2.0 is already in development for release in late 2025. It will respond to community feedback and offer enhanced supporting and explanatory content to accompany the HERM distribution.
