The CAUDIT Strategic Procurement Committee (SPC) was first established in 2012, and is tasked with providing advice and guidance to the Strategic Procurement Team’ and the Executive Committee in achieving CAUDIT’s strategic objectives, taking into consideration the needs of members, the CAUDIT Strategic Plan, and objectives given by the CAUDIT Executive Committee.
The SPC exercises the necessary governance of CAUDIT’s procurement activities to ensure that:
General members are appointed by the CAUDIT Executive for a period of 2 years, with half of the members being up for re-appointment each year. There are no limitations on the number of times a member can serve on the Committee.
A member’s knowledge and experience in IT procurement, together with the higher education sector, will provide valuable assistance to the Committee in recommending and steering procurement priorities, provide governance and advice to the activities of the CAUDIT Strategic Procurement team and support the important role of IT procurement within the higher education sector.
Meetings are held at least twice per year.
