Case for Change Program
presented by AWS
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally. Millions of customers—including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies—are using AWS to lower costs, become more agile, and innovate faster.
AWS and key partners (Shine Solutions, Optima and Servicegen) have joined forces to deliver a program specifically designed to help Higher Education institutions plan, prepare and achieve successful cloud migrations. Bringing collective higher education experiences together, they have developed a tailored program to enable a cost-effective and operationally efficient move for universities to AWS.
This program sets up Higher Education key stakeholders for success in delivering the maximum business value from cloud. This will provide CAUDIT members with an understanding of their cloud readiness and the case for change.
AWS aims to support long-term institutional success on their proven migration and modernisation track consisting: Assess, Mobilise, Migrate & Modernise
AWS, working with partners, has a long track record of success migrating and modernising institutions including extensive work with the University of Newcastle, UNSW and Curtin among others.

What value does AWS bring to the higher education sector?
AWS has unmatched experience, maturity, reliability, security, and performance. Internally, we say that there's no compression algorithm for experience, and that's because you can't learn certain lessons until you get to different milestones in scale. With millions of active customers every month, AWS has many times the usage of other cloud providers who just haven't learned those lessons yet.
Who are the institutions/organisations that AWS is currently working with?
We work with practically every university in the sector at a variety of levels. We have successfully migrated institutions at scale: UNSW, University of Newcastle, Curtin and are at a stage of maturity or project with many other institutions.
Opportunity for CAUDIT Members to engage - Does AWS have an offer for CAUDIT Members?
We are working with CAUDIT to confirm a Members only offer that will provide best service at economical pricing.
