CAUDIT is proud to host the accessible ICT procurement implementation guide. This was a collaborative project lead by the National Disability Coordination Officer Program, Australian Disability Clearinghouse on Education and Training and Intopia and guided by an expert advisory committee from the sector.
Drawing on expertise from the project’s advisory panel, this guide provides Higher Education Providers with practical information about procuring ICT products and services with accessibility as an essential criterion. It also draws on existing good practice in Australia and overseas.
The following content has been developed to assist Higher Education providers to embed accessible ICT procurement into their procurement policies, procedures, and practice, with a view to building a more accessible future by design.
In addition to hosting this resource, CAUDIT has identified options via our strategic procurement work to encourage more vendors to meet the requirements of AS EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 and other standards which will supporting the sectors engagement in accessible ICT procurement.
We look forward to working together to create more accessible experiences for students and staff.
Please note: We view this as a living resource and welcome feedback. We are improving our website to ensure this content is fully accessible for all users.
