Accessible IT Procurement

Workshops for Higher Education Staff

CAUDIT in partnership with the Australian Disability Clearinghouse on Education and Training (ADCET) and Intopia are hosting a series of professional development sessions to build the capacity of university staff in accessible ICT procurement.

The workshops follow on from the development of the Accessible ICT procurement guide for Higher Education Providers and are aimed at ICT staff and those directly involved in ICT equipment, systems or software procurement. They are also relevant to accessibility specialists and subject matter experts.

There will be five workshops, each lasting for 90 minutes and delivered weekly over a period of five weeks. The first two will take a strategic approach and will cover the importance of policy and process, and the final three will be deep-dive sessions covering specific aspects of the procurement process as it applies to accessible ICT.
